Hits home in so many ways. Yes all trans women are vulnerable but somehow trans women of color are at greater risk, IMO. Growing up in the Caribbean I can see why - transphobia is more ingrained in the culture, I remember people I was with warning me about Jowelle DeSouza whenever we saw her.
