I was trying to write this for NaNoWriMo but I had no inspiration until today...go figure.

"Eternity is said not to be an extension of time but an absence of time, and sometimes it seemed to me that her abandonment touched that strange mathematical point of endlessness, a point with no width, occupying no space."
― Graham Greene

With the life I had lived, I could've traveled the world a million times and still have time left over for tea. I could've sailed every mile of ocean without growing tired. I could've journeyed through the desert without becoming parched. I could've swam up rivers without becoming winded. I could've done all sorts of things and more, if only I had the time.

But time, it is really quite strange. Why must it always go forward? Why can't it go backwards or pause? Why must time be the way it is? Why must anything be the way it is? Why can't time be changed to save lives? Why can't we use time to help people? What is this eternal life that is always spoken about in church? Does it mean you have all the time in the world? Can you help people with this eternal life?

Eternity, it wasn't something I had always believed in. Eternity was always just a theory to me. I figured, why waste time when you have a limited amount of time to live?

I had always used my time wisely, always religiously. I had always kept a pocket watch in my front coat pocket so I could see the time. I hated wasting any valuable time I had. Time was very important to me.

But, what I didn't realize, was that time could move backwards and pause. Heck, time could even vanish. Time didn't just move forward. It only seemed that way for humans, ordinary people who had no real purpose on this earth.

For beings like me, however, time could do whatever it wished. It could twist and turn. It could warp reality as we knew it. It didn't just move forwards. Time could do much more than that if it wished. I had to learn that the hard way, however, when I was nothing but a teen.

I am Hadrian Marvelo, and this is my story to tell for eternity.

Lyrics for a song I wrote

This ain't a scam
It's who I am
I am a man inside
This ain't a dream
Stop being mean
And just accept it.
I am ready to shine!
Ready to fight for that dream of mine
I am a man inside
