Trans vibe?

Has anyone ever met or seen a person and by just their vibe or the way they go about things you can just tell they're probably trans on the inside?

Well at work I was walking around and noticed this young "man" standing in line. Something about them, made me want to keep looking. Curious to know more about them in a way. So they turn and look at me and asks me if they could apply in the store or online. The moment they opened their mouth, they sounded like a female. For a sec my brain had to figure out what gender I was talking to. I looked over their face and it registered as male but their vibe and voice registered as female in my head. I show them to the nearest computer where they could apply at. Walking away and going back to work, the thought of them kept running thru my mind. I felt attracted to them. I, a pre-op ftm and them perhaps a pre-op/maybe on hormones (cause of the voice) mtf. Then I thought about how awkard that would be, if we were to get together.

Anyways, next vibe I was getting was watching an old 80's band's music video on youtube. I was watching the main singer, the way "he" move and danced, the way "he" looked, and the way "he"looked at the camera, it spoke fem to me. I felt attracted. I watched more of their videos and the more and more I felt "he" was really a she on the inside. I research more about the main singer and it turns out that they did eventually transition from mtf. Something inside me knew they were really female.

Anybody else get this way? Can you tell someone is probably trans just by looking at them or from their vibe, but yet know nothing about them? Is it cause I"m trans I can sense that other people perhaps are trans, just from their vibe? I mean yeah, I know you can easily see those who straight up dress flamboyant or what not, but with them I had that feeling that they weren't "gay men" they were females. Is it cause I'm male on the inside, that I can pick up easily on female vibes since I'm attracted mostly to females?

I definitely see people and wonder if they are trans (and am usually pretty sure) but personally I'd never say I KNEW unless they told me. I could always be wrong. But my "transdar" is a lot better than my "gaydar" for sure. One of my good friends, when I first saw him, I felt pretty sure he was FtM. I later found out that he is. Same with I think 3 other guys at my school? I'm better at noticing FtM guys. But again, even if I feel sure, I would never say anything unless there was absolutely ZERO doubt.

I got ya. Yeah, should of put "feel that people are trans" instead of "know they are." Sorry about that I'll fix it. But yeah, that's funny. I don't really pick up too much on ftm dudes unless I talk to them for awhile and pick up on things they say, but not just from a look or watching them.

I've definitely thought people are trans guys. But I think now that half the male population looks like they might be trans. I know that's unlikely.

I expect myself to do it and ended up being the only person in 200 who was oblivious about a trans woman until she came out and said it.  I was thinking I was overthinking it thinking that she seemed as if she could be trans, so she must just be a tall, big, cis woman.  Of course as soon as she said "Up until five years ago..." it all clicked right into place.  She thought it was hilarious that I was scared I was being paranoid in thinking that I might not be the only trans one around, turns out our industry is full of us and it would be weird not to know, or hear of, at least one trans person.  I've met three others, and heard of another two, already.

Then I was friends with someone who I wondered if they were having gender issues, their partner told me they bound, and didn't mind at all when people misgendered them.  My girlfriend met them and it was the first time she really had the opportunity to call me Alex for a whole weekend.  She was worried about slipping up because none of the people we were staying with knew I was trans, but ended up having to work much harder at calling this other person their birthname and female pronouns because it just didn't sit right.  A few months later they came out as trans and none of us were surprised at all.

Ha, I find that funny. I have yet to figure out a ftm trans over a mtf one. Like I said, I don't know if it's cause I"m don't really pay attention as much as I do with fem types.

Well I kinda feel I'm like only trans person in my area. Or if not, then I feel like the only trans that'll be stuck pre-T forever atleast. I'm trying to get out there in the LGBT community more and find more trans folks but I"m trying to be stealth about it and not get caught going to the gay clubs and such.

It's just the industry I'm in I think that means I find them all.  I think it's similar to the military where you get closeted women trying to push away their trans feelings by joining something "manly", and closeted men joining because they hope that the masculinity will be enough for them.  That's my theory anyway.

I've only heard of one trans person from around me that I haven't found through facebook groups (there are a fair few around me that I've found that way) and that was because they commented on an article about LGBT pride in the town newspaper.

I'd say the best way to find other people, because they're likely to be trying to be stealthy about it as well, would be to join a group, either online or in person.

I got ya. Well I got the join an online group down since I joined here, so that's a start. I'm glad to, cause Susan's is great. Glad such a place exists for trans. Thanks Susan! And thankful for the folks that take the time to reply and post.

I can say yes, I can definitively tell if someone is trans... especially if they are trying to pass as male and are not on T. My friend/co-workers and cousins were able to spot trans people too. When I was at a concert with my friend years ago, this was before I came out to him(actually that night driving back home is when I told him I was trans)Anyways, we were hanging around waiting to go into the concert, and my friend turns to me and says, "that's a girl? I thought she was a boy until I heard her talk".  Another time was at work and and a few of my co-workers who knew I was trans were talking about another ftm saying, "I think this person is trans", ftm, and I looked and sure enough, I believe they were. Though, I never talked to the two trans people at work when they were there. I felt they were more masculine than me and that intimidated me. But then again, I'm a very shy person so I won't go up to people and start talking to them. I also went to a trans/parent meeting that my counselor set up and I was able to tell who the trans people were from the voice and height and there was only one other trans guy there besides me. The other was a trans woman. To me, for ftm's, the voice is a  dead give away and he started his transition in the early 90's.  I mean he looked and sounded male and everything, but the voice and height was such a give away to me.  Though, my grandmother couldn't tell b/c I asked her if she could tell if he was trans or not and she said no she couldn't tell.  But being trans, it was a dead give away for me. I could tell so easily by the voice it's self and the height.
