A single woman who has a history of transsexuality is something that would rank rather low on the list of desired recipients for an adoption

I am worried about this too. Is it a standard rule to have a couple? or simply discrimination?

But now, it is really sad. I broke down in tears this year when I talked to a woman about the issue that many women feel unwomanly in this time.

I feel like not being able to give birth is just compounding my dysphoria. Many cis-woman feel less womanly after hysterectomy, so it is reasonable and a valid concern we can or feel the same way. SRS relieved most of my dysphoria, but it does seem to rear it's ugly head every now and then, and I feel less of a woman than I could/should have been...

I know how you feel... I used to see my wife or other pregnant women, and it is like I would feel this big pain in my tummy...

Yeah... thank G-d I was able to father 5 kids... all of which love me to pieces... 3 still living with me... one in college the other USMC Marine, the other three in HS

I think it is both. The process seems to be rather based on judgement than on rules. I think general assumption is that a child is better taken care of if it is given to a couple with good income and stable social standing than to a single woman who has maybe a challenging career or worse, a single woman who has an odd CV because of psychological issues.And sadly for many, what we experience is still called a psychological issue - some think it is actually what describes us (calliung us "gender dysphoric" - as if we are men who would rather want to be women), others at least say that due to our condition we suffered psychologcal damage that is not just going away. Its judgemental and I think disciminating, but there is no human right for adoption so they can choose what THEY think is best for the child - and that is in their eyes probably rather a straight couple than a single or lesbian transwoman

I think that is exactly the same. A surprising lot of women feel unwomanly due to various isses, this being one of them. And we experience the same but multiple issues of those.
