Hi everyone just thought I'd post an update of my srs surgery with dr Suporn. Things are going amazing I just got told i can leave in just 10 days since my healing is super fast and everything is looking and working so well :)! I just started dynamic dilation and am still at 16cm depth. What surprised me was I just started using the large one after the med one and was able to get it to full depth too save a couple mills with near no effort. Dynamic with it was easy too and I'm so happy with my choice of surgeons. I was concerned at my initial meet since he saw I didn't have much material to work with but did say he could get at least 5inches. Got lucky I guess hehe :). Anyway just giving an update and hope everything keeps running smoothly.

Congratulations!

I am interested in this dynamic dilating technique. I heard about, not never heard what actually happens or how it works. Care to explain? just out of curiosity...

Sure :). The method is to hold the dilator in place (at full depth) for 15 seconds then slowly rotate in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion for 15 sec and then repeating for 15min or so. It is done to help fight the forming of scar tissue and widen depth.

I believe its specific to Dr Suporn. I don't really know why, but his surgery is pretty aggressive so perhaps it needs a more aggressive dilation technique. You'd probably want to check before doing it with any other surgeon.

You can find detailed descriptions, and even drawings, with google. Some good keywords are: dynamic dilation suporn stirring

I guess my surgeon recommends the same. He called it "stirring". I need to slow stir around sometimes.
