"There's A Lot Going On" by Vic Mensa
They must find it difficult, those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority.

A new song by my favorite metal band, Opeth. Unfortunately, their music has become more narrow in its range and depth, and more dependent on structure, but I still think they're interesting.

The violinist with the richest tone I've ever heard, playing probably the greatest piece for solo violin of all time.

One of the pieces that whenever I listen to, I feel unbelievably privileged to be alive.

I've got a wide range of music I like to listen to, but no matter what, I always have some Adam Lambert mixed in somewhere.

Favorites of his right now are:

Underneath

There I Said It

The Original High

The Light

Heavy Fire

Also listening to a lot of Black Veil Brides, Andy Black, Starset, and Disturbed.

Creature Lives - Mastadon

It's what my Apple Music recommended and it's pretty good.  :-)

Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker

In your Room - Ariel-

Love this song. It is awash in color.

When the nights start to feel cool again, the White Album always makes nostalgic. It's anchored to some my favorite memories.

The first black metal album that I've found myself reaching for in some time. At first the band's limited range turned me off, but then I heard how artfully and subtly they are able to contrast moods, and I remembered what drew me to this type of music to begin with. More skillfully than any other black metal band I've heard, Deafheaven is able to conjure not just the struggle, but also the relief of expelling something deeply lodged.

Not too long ago, Lady Gaga wrote some of the most grabbing pre-chrouses, intriguing bridges, and beautiful melodies in contemporary pop music. This new song, though, sounds uninspired. I think this form is no longer best suited to express her core.
