After months of just seeing my therapist and dealing with my gender/sexual feelings that way, I have finally scheduled an appointment with a gender therapist at my communities LGBT center.

I am nervous and scared with not sure what I exactly want out of this appointment.  Ultimately I want to be certain of who I am and not confused.  I feel that the anxiety is causing me to have panic attacks.

I was wondering what type of questions I should be prepared to ask or be asked and what was your initial reaction to a gender therapist versus a regular healthcare therapist?

Thanks.
Hi my name is Natalie.
I am a 28 year old XY who is gender confused.
On this forum I prefer the pronouns female pronouns, ie. she and her.
If you have any comments or questions, please ask me, I am open book.

just relax... and you'll be fine.  Your therapist will know you're nervous enough, and take extra steps to be friendly...your first session should be a more 'get to know you' type deal... just be open and honest.  Congrats on taking the first steps :)
