I am planning on coming out on my birthday(3/1) and because I am one for granger I will be making an announcement in front of my family. I would like your thoughts on this speech.

I am sure all of you are aware that something is up for me to make an effort in getting everyone here this weekend. Truth be told it is not easy what I have to say to all of you at this time. I have been dealing with something for a very long time and it is time I told you all once thing and for all. Some of you I have told and other have no idea. Truth be told it will change many things, How you see me, our relationships, and my life in General. From a younger age I have always had gender dysphoria. What does that mean? it means that I have always viewed and Identified myself as the gender of which my body does not fit. This makes me Transgender. For years its been on the forefront of my mind, affect many aspect of my life. I have tried in the past many times to accept it and on the other side to transition. Of course Now things are different and things have lined up for me to do what I feel I must. I will be transitioning hopefully all the way, In fact I have already started and am doing so right now. I am well aware of the costs and risk, trust me I have looked into it so many time. I do not want to hear negativity about it, I need your support. I hope you all understand and respect my choice, if you have any question ask.

I don't know if I should speak or just give everyone letters. I am nervous though it is awhile away, my mind always thinks so far ahead. Any feedback is nice. Thank you :)

I would work on a friends and family letter.

That way you can read it a loud and give each a copy to read and digest later.

It is how i and so many in my transition have done.

Its hard to remember everything.

Also in hard copy form you can add some reference sites and material.

I think in the site reference library you will find examples.

I was thinking reading what I wrote aloud or ether let them hand it out to them. Is that enough to dive in or do I need it longer?
