Do I pass?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site but definitely not new to the whole trans thing. I've been repressing the fact I'm FTM my entire life, and only started realising it halfway through puberty. I'm 18 going on 19, and I  have depression which I take pills for. I now wear a binder which helps ease my discomfort a lot. I've not come out to my parents yet, but I have been wearing more masculine clothes pretty much since my mother allowed me to dress myself. I'm known on a social media website for being male, and nobody ever questioned it. In fact one of my friends was shocked when they dug through my old photos and found one where you could see straight down my top. They were very confused to say the least, which made me happy, but guilty.  :embarrassed:Is it wrong to say you're male on the internet? What if people find out, will they feel decieved?

Anyways, the only thing I worry about is my face being too rounded and not really having sharp masculine features I dream of...
Some of these are older photos, I just wanted to show my face in general. My hair is currently short at the front, and the back doesn't reach my shoulders. I may upload recent photos later if need be.

Do I pass or not? And what can be improved? :D

Thanks,
- Kyris

I would say yes, you pass for sure! You are androgynous, but also young.

Hmm, I would say you look Androgynous. Are you on HRT? HRT will give you facial hair which will help, that is if you want facial hair. But it's a very male thing. And so is shaving it off  ;D but you do have a typically famine nose, upward pointing. Now I don't know how many people actually notice that stuff or if it's actually important. But I misread your post, and looked at your pic thinking you were MtF. So to be honest, I was bout to say, No, you don't pass as female. And now I know that your FtM, that's a good thing. Maybe as you get older your features will fill out more. But certainly think about HRT but not before seeking professional help.

And NO, it's never wrong to describe yourself as who you truly are.

You say you identify as a male, so your male.

God or <insert your faith here> simply made a mistake, we all make mistakes right  :D

And will people feel deceived, umm, who cares, really. I identify as Female. I still have a penis, so am I male or female? Well I can tell you if you said Male, you were wrong.

Take care and hope I've helped a little xx

If I saw you my first guess would be that you're a male, but if you have a higher pitched voice or female tendencies (crossing legs when sitting, playing with hair, other things that's more commonly seen to be feminine aspects) then I might guess you're a woman.

As the others have said you do put off an androgynous vibe, but hey, if you say you're a male, then you are. Simple as that.

Also, I wouldn't say it's deceiving because it's not lying! Don't feel guilty, you aren't doing anything wrong except being yourself!

Nuh, leave your hair like that. Sure short hair is a simple trick to make yourself look more masculine but you look awesome and kinda emo-ish style like, and well, I like it, personally :P. Stay true to yourself and honestly I saw your photos and read the title and had to read the text to see as what you wanted to pass. You are young and people tend to be more androgynous then so good for you :p.

If you would eventually start with testerone (I can never spell that properly x___x) then you will pass just fine. Starting as androgynous is perfect ^^.
:D Want to see me ramble, talk about experiences or explaining about gender dysphoria? :D

First thing I read was female sorry and it's because of the hair. Granted, if you really like it, you can keep it like that if misgendering doesn't phase you as much as having your hair short. A good haircut would be short on sides and length on top to counteract the round features.

And everyone assumed I was male on the internet until I told them otherwise. They won't feel deceived, just surprised since I never acted like a girl.

I love your hair!! Don't change your hair to pass, do what you like. Unless your dysphoria is worse than your desire for whichever hairstyle you currently have.

I would say androgynous, but passing is about more than just your face. It depends on how you talk and act, too. I have a square jaw and I think I'm  androgynous, but because I'm so femme in my mannerisms, I never fail to get called "ma'am" when I'm out and about. I've even been hit on or treated with chivalry while crossdressing, and I don't think those guys were gay. They probably just thought I was a cute, edgy woman.

Uh, the point of my rant (lol sorry) was that you can increase your chances of passing pre-T if you pay attention to how you speak and gesture. I hope that helps, but if not, we can collectively try to give you some more tips. Good luck to you and I hope to see you around!

You look like a lot of my sister's male friends, who are around your age I think!
