I am curious why people are being prescribed Estradiol in pill form.  My understanding is that the pill form carries the most risks of blood clotting and is hard on the liver.  The body also absorbs the least amount of Estradiol from the pill form.
It seems to be the only practical way to attain the blood level I need at this time. Topical products have been too weak for me, yet my doctor does not want to prescribe injections because they are too strong. The price made me light up at the pharmacy; it is 84% cheaper than the spray despite being a more effective product.

They provide a more constant level of the hormone, versus an injection that peaks and drops off.
The level of E from oral products is not constant at all. Like an injection, it seems to peak shortly after use and drop sharply as the time for the next dose approaches. Topical products produce a steadier but lower level overall.

Never underestimate the power of estradiol or the people who have it.

I was comparing it strictly to injectibles.

Pills and injections have the same problem, that they produce a level that 'peaks' shortly after use and can crash completely before the next dose if not properly monitored. The main difference between the two forms of delivery seems to be that injections tend to produce a higher level overall, and therefore a stronger feminizing effect. It is best to avoid the strongest products unless one is reasonably confident that nothing else is good enough.
