Hi all!

I´m now into my 9:th month of hormones and it´s time for me to decide which surgeon i´d like for my gsr. I live in Sweden so i don´t have to think about cost if i stick to the surgeons in the country. While looking around between the few available here a certain dr Gennaro Selvaggi caught my attention.. Is anyone here familiar with his work? I´v read a bit about him and have found quite a lot when it comes to ffs, ftm gsr and all sorts of breast operations, but not much when it comes to mtf gsr exept a whole lot of articles and interviews.

Any help or information would be really helpful!

I'm going to be op by him in a month, and I also don"t  really find any information, however people have told me he is the best out of those that do the surgury here in sweden. Even my voice therepist told me that I should be glad that I got him and that many wanted him instead of the others.

He does the one-stage procedure, the other ones  do the two stage.
I can't really say if he's better, but I do know for sure that he has done more srs surguries than the other surgens combined.
He is also gonna do my BA

I will try remember to report the outcome!

Thanks for the response!

How exiting with the op so soon! It would be very kind of you and most helpful, if you want to report the outcome :)
Did he provide you with good information on the first meeting? Was it all understandable? (my doctors said that he had really bad English) was it required that you had electrolysis prior to the op and how long did it take?

Best of luck with the surgery!

He's very much understandeble :) first time I met him he had his assistent surgeon with him, who was swedish,  he talked good english, it was just the swedish he had some difficulty with.
When I met him again in september he's swedish was really good! I was impressed!

I didnt need any hair removal down there, but I belive it takes a couple of months (3-4) if I remember correctly.

That's comforting to hear! :) So you mer him twice before scheduling you op? I thought there was one visit, then RR and after that surgery as son ass everything is cleared and  the surgeon has a open time?

How fortunate that you didn't need removal down there! Did he say anything about the cases where it was necessary?

I met him one time before RR, and one time after. I don,t really know why I met him before RR, I assume  it is he wants to check that you really know what you are going in to, and have some time to make your decision.

It depends on the hair I belive, both density and texture. But he guaranteed me that I will have no hair in my vagina :)

I see. I guess that it's good that he want's check extra for our sake I think.  :)

Aha, then I better hope I have the right texture and hair then :P
It would nice to be hairfree without revival.
Yes it would be so much easier to speak with you in Swedish! :) when can one pm? I understand that you don't want to put your email here. Facebook perhaps if you want to? :)

Update!!
I went to the hospital yesterday for incheck, they took some blood samples, blood pressure etc.
I met the nurse, who explain to me the process, what I needed to do brfore (shower etc), and different stages of the 7-10 days your are in the hospital such as when the packing is removed, when you start dilate and so on. She also showed me the dilators.

I also met the assistent surgeon. He asked me if I hade some questions.
I was very straight forward, (almost aggressiv lol) and asked what my guarentees are. What happen if something goes wrong? Are you going to help me? What are you WILLING to help me with if something goes wrong?
I told him about one example, a girl who got her Op with Gunnar Krantz. At first, she had 14 cm depth, but the swelling and blood was so bad  she coulden't dilate properly. Gunnar krantz told her everything was fine, she looked normal and ehen the swelling (and pain) was better, she should archive original depth.
She ended upp with 6 cm depth, and he would do NOTHING to help her, told her 6 cm was fine, and that he wouldn't open her up if she  didnt was completely closed up.
I told him to be honest, becouse otherwise, I get my srs somewere else, its not a problem. I just want the truth about what are going to happen with me if something goes wrong. I didnt threten him, but I also told him I'm not going to be quit about how they treat me afterwords.
He was stumbled and very suprised. He was death-serius when he told me that they are there to help ME, that this op is done for me, and the priorerty is to make me happy. That I under no circumstances hesitate to ask for help, how small or major problem it may be. The one and only reason why they wouldnt  help me after was if they tought it would be to dangerous for my health and body.
He was so sweet and took my concerns very seriosly. And he really gave me an honest impression.

Hi, I'm sorry to respond to a dead thread, however I'm hoping that maybe you will respond since it's been 3 years since you met him! Would you say that this surgeon is as good as some of the other ones available worldwide, like Dr. Brassard or the multiple Thai surgeons for example? I've seen quite bad results from one of the other Swedish surgeons Hannes Sigurjonsson, which is why I'm very worried. (Like VERY bad, doesnt even look close to a real vagina)
