Adams apples get smaller from HRT?

My friend swears her adams apple got smaller from hormones & it kind of looks like it too :o Is that possible? I know the adams apple is cartilage & I know cartilage shrinks when you're on HRT so it seems kind of possible. What do you guys think?

I don't believe there is any shrinkage that happens. Although it can be repositioned and even hidden through voice training.

I can't say mine has gotten any smaller. It is cartilage and unlikely to just shrink at the end of the day. I have noticed mine is less prominent, due in part to voice training and maybe also some sub cutaneous fat depositing in the neck area softening out the definition of the lump.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

Mine is less prominent now, and yeah I think it's due to fat placement. But just remember, everyone has one! :)

I don't know but there could be something that HRT does for cartilage, like I use to be able to crack my neck like 3 times on each side, now I can only get one crack each side n not as often as before.

I don't know, I've never heard her voice, but I'm always hearing I look like her, it's kinda freaky.

I don't think mine has shrunk but it sure does seem to be less prominent, not sure why.

If your neck cracked a lot before I would think you fell as a child or teenager at some point maybe landed on your back or fell off the bed? A cracky neck is normally indicitive to that and if you have seen a chiropractor or had any kind of adjustment for your spine you would probably see that reduce.

As far as HRT and Adam's apple... I wish. Myth I believe.

No, since it's cartilage it isn't going to get smaller on HRT. However the neck muscles may diminish in size, so that may affect how prominent it appears.

Mine isn't visible at all like I can barely even expose it anymore. I asked my gf if she could see it while I was lying down and she said she couldn't, she had to run her fingers over the area before she could feel it slightly. So it looks like an adam's apple that a cis woman would have. I'm quite happy since that's another surgery I don't need. Hrt did revert my neck back to the way it was before T made it bigger, so its pretty thin again and my voice training probably helped too.

I also had changes with my Adam apple but it is definitivly not from HRT directly.  I lost 30 pounds and by the same time i lost neck muscle wich made my Adam apple looks less prominent. It looks like it changed position and went under my chin instead of middle of my neck

It is still to big in my opinion and i will get it shaved when ill get the FFS done but there is still hope that it get even less prominent.

If you speak in your female voice, the trachea kinda gets pulled up and back ever so slightly too, diminishing the size.

Never had a adams apple so I have no clue.

Mine got smaller when I killed my thyroid to treat Grave's disease, it's not very prominent and I'm pre everything.
