I have been on T for 3 years, and I am perfectly happy with where I am right now. I am an actor and model and my hair is very nice. I only notice that there is some receding in my hairline above my temples, isn't that a normal reaction to masculinization? I am on finasteride to ensure I keep the hair I already have. If I stop T cold turkey, will my hairline continue to recede as if I still had T in me when I also decide to stop taking finasteride? I will basically just be my normal self again, right? I shouldn't just continue to receive masculine traits of the hairline if I am not taking testosterone. I refuse to allow my hairline to go even slightly further back than it is. And I don't look like I have an issue, I just worry it will possibly continue based on the possible genetic changes I made to my hair. But there really isn't anything genetic occurring if I am off T right? It makes sense that I will keep my voice and just have a more feminine body again right? I am fine with that I wanted that. I just don't want to ->-bleeped-<-ing lose my hair or continue to lose it which I shouldn't because I am off T. Is there anyone who knows about this who can help me understand this? Is there anyone who is an expert on DHT presence in the scalp enough to help me understand how to approach my hair treatment? Whether I can stop taking finasteride because I am off of T. I can stop taking it if I am off of T because it won't be doing anything right? I don't have too much T to make DHT so taking finasteride is unnecessary. But will stopping finasteride cause me to lose hair? What if the hair I kept was because I was on finasteride? So stopping finasteride will make me lose all my hair I grew? But wait, I won't be on T so it won't fall out. Isn't that logical? Please help.

Without T, your hairline should stop receeding and you shouldn't need any additional treatment for hair loss. Also, a guy I follow on youtube reported that his slight receeding hairline actually filled back in when he stopped T for pregnancy. That is apparently not supposed to happen, and might be rare for the hair to actually regrow, but your hairline should definitely pause in its receeding if nothing else.
