Last day for Federal Employee Open Season

December 10 was the last day to change to federal health insurance policies.  Hopefully everyone who was interested in switching to a plan that doesn't have a trans* exclusion was able to do so this year.  Hopefully we'll have more choices than Aetna, Kaiser, and American Foreign Service Benefit plans next year.

Also of interest if the current Federal budget that is proposed passes, we should be receiving a 1% cost of living allowance increase this year.  Of course, if it doesn't pass and a continuing resolution isn't provided, we'll get to deal with furlough possibilities again.
