Hey:)

This is probably questions that has been asked many times on this forum but i always find so many different answers and i guess i just want to get the information personally from someone here as well.
This is my questions regarding HRT(MtF):

1)Will i have problems getting erect in the future? If so, what are the solutions? I am planning on keeping my penis and i am mostly into women, so it would be nice to have a functioning one:p
2) To wich degree will i loose my sexual lust?
3)Will my sperm be 100% healthy to make kids?
4)I have played football all my life and i find it very fun.. How will HRT effect my play? xD (How fast i run etc.. )
5)What are the psychological changes that occur? How is this going to "change" me? This is probably what i am most concerned about. Will i think differently?
6) My face is already very big and toned out /fat and i do not want HRT to make my face any "bigger" I like my face just the way it is.
7) I am from Norway and getting HRT is very hard and you need to pass a test etc.. The wait time is also ridiculous.. What is the best way for me to get hormones? I dont want to go all the way through the norwegian system on this.. I also need complete insurance that the HRT i am receiving is right dosage, quality, etc..
8) Can HRT change my sexuality? I like guys just a little bit and maybe a lot more after HRT?
9) Do most transgender people become satisfied/happy by the HRT?
10) I am now considering myself to be non-binary gendered and i want to look androgynous, will HRT make me feel more like a woman and make me want to go all the way to female?

I am constantly wondering weather i should start HRT or not.. please help me figure this out.

1. It depends. Your doctor would be best to advise you. Most people suffer some sort of dysfunction

2. That depends but most people's sex drive is diminished/modified

3. You will not produce sperm without sufficient testosterone. Some MtFs have been able to restart sperm production after pausing HRT for a few months, but it will probably have other (bad) side effects. Best to bank before you start.

4. Lower T will lower your physical strength and decrease muscle mass so it will affect your ability to play some sports.

5. It varies but generally people experience calm and the lessening of dysphoria. Lower T may also reduce aggression and other typically male things but everyone is different. Some people say they get more emotional.

6. Your face will likely change due to fat redistribution.

7. See a therapist/counselor/psychiatrist who can refer you to an endocrinologist who can prescribe them. That is the best way.

8. Maybe, maybe not.

9. Generally, a lot of people say it's the best thing they ever did.

10. Only you can find that out when you start. Everyone is different. From my experience low dose pushed me to full dose so yes it made me want to go "all the way" but everyone is different.

A lot of the things you have asked differs from person to person like muscle loss n strength loss is less likely if you exercise a lot.

Erectile problems depends a lot on what medication you have and depending on the person, like cyproterone, medroxyprogesterone, will most definitely kill erections, also other debatable meds include progesterone and spironolactone, like for me I've tried all those meds and they killed my libido an erectile function till I switched my anti androgen to bicalutamide and my progesterone to hydroxyprogesterone and they have worked great for me so far erections came back, as to did my sexual desires and my breasts have even stated to grow some more.

Your sexual orientation shouldn't change much, if anything you'll probably just end up getting turned on by the idea of anal stimulation, which doesn't have to be with a man.

Sperm production is something you will most likely lose, along with any ejaculation so it's a good idea to bank sperm pre HRT because there are very few fertile transsexuals around, for those who didn't bank sperm and have had kids after hormones it's usually because they go off of hormones for a very long time and start taking fertility drugs that increase testosterone.

Psychologically you will remain the same person you have always been but mostly less man like n more feminine in emotional thought n thought of your actions.

If your in Norway? try n find out what the transition requirements are because in some country's they may require you to be completely castraited by surgery or chemicaly with puberty blockers, cyproterone, medroxyprogesterone, n some other drugs, if that's a requirement where you live I would recommend changing country first.

Thank-you scorpions...

For looking like Goth lobsters.

Hi Emily, everyone is different but I have found the following:

1)Will i have problems getting erect in the future? If so, what are the solutions? I am planning on keeping my penis and i am mostly into women, so it would be nice to have a functioning one:p

Erections for me are possible ( I use cialas when with my wife, not often, last time was 3 months ago). My penis is not "hard". Also, being on E for 18 months with super low T there is a size decrease. I was small before and now very small, like I do not need tuck, maybe a few strips of tape. My gonads are very small. Spontaneous erections are gone. If you want children bank sperm now.

2) To which degree will i loose my sexual lust?

Male, always ready. Females always capable but needs coaxing. I lost 95% of my lust but my sex drive was really high before and I am very happy about that.

3)Will my sperm be 100% healthy to make kids?

Bank sperm now.

4)I have played football all my life and i find it very fun.. How will HRT effect my play? xD (How fast i run etc.. )

Spiro may affect your stamina. Low T will reduce aggression. E with low T will reduce muscle and gain fat.

5)What are the psychological changes that occur? How is this going to "change" me? This is probably what i am most concerned about. Will i think differently?

I am Bi. I am 75% male attracted and that did not change. I always dream I am with a guy and always release thinking a am a woman with a guy. That did not change. If I were to get into another relationship it would be 99% with a guy.

6) My face is already very big and toned out /fat and i do not want HRT to make my face any "bigger" I like my face just the way it is.

That is determined by genetics.

Get a private doctor if possible.

8) Can HRT change my sexuality? I like guys just a little bit and maybe a lot more after HRT?

No it will not but you may drop any resistance and accept who you are really attracted to.

9) Do most transgender people become satisfied/happy by the HRT?

It is a slippery slope. When you start and then get positive affirmation then you may want to go further. Happy, I know trans girls who have nothing and need help for food and cloths and are happy they are transitioning and would do it again. They are awesome. HRT does not set you free and happy. It helps with dysphoria but you are as happy as you make your mind up to be happy. If you want to transition fully and stop on HRT then you may not be happy.

10) I am now considering myself to be non-binary gendered and i want to look androgynous, will HRT make me feel more like a woman and make me want to go all the way to female?

HRT will not make you feel like a woman and if you are past puberty and the further past puberty the less it will make wonderful changes. Again genetics play a huge role. It may help you look more feminine or andro. I know I want to go all the way but am going slow. I wanted to be 100% when I was young. I will need FFS, GS, adams apple shave, hair transplants and hair removal. I was in the gym (LGBT) and there was a guy training with his trainer for MMA. He is Hispanic and does not speak English. He is beautiful. I watched him move when I was training and it was intoxicating :)

Just from the tone of the  questions... Why are you even considering HRT?

Anti-Androgens and Estrogen eventually will alter you physically and mentally. To that there is no dispute. How your body and mind reacts varies widely. From very good, to very bad (Google Alan Turing, a famous WWII British code-breaker)

Decrease of T will lead to decreased muscle mass. If you don't compensate for that in your diet, you will put on weight. Since so much of sex is between your ears and not the legs, it is possible to still get erections. Though from lurking on a real hard-core eunuch forum, when your T is in the sub-sub basement for long enough, just forget about it without resorting to some very hard core methods, like sticking a needle into your you-know what  :o

If you have GD, HRT can offer an emotional relief. Low dose may do it w/o any secondary effects for a very long time. I've been On/Off low dose HRT several times for that much needed 'Reset' I've been on feminizing dose for several years now. When I first started on HRT again it was low and any sort of transition was the last thing on my mind. Tried it twice before in my early 20's and opted for 'Normal' male. However, this last time I also worked a lot on my personal growth. How I was not handling being trans always came back to ruin my life. I found a support group, eventually a TG friendly therapist, did a ton of reading self-help books. So these days transitioning to full-time is a very real possibility in the future. But the jury is still out on that.

Sexuality was the surprising factor for me. I like women, I am married, the dangly bits and I have had lots of great times together. I also envied women, over the years got to the point the only for me to orgasm in under an hour was to go into the "I am the woman" fantasy made all the better if the woman was on top (and she usually was). These days I am more and more often looking at a guy thinking... God he is nice looking. In a way far far different I ever thought about women.

Of course the usual disclaimer to be applied to all things HRT related, Your Mileage May Vary
