Hello Hello,
I am looking to have my top recreated by a surgeon in North Carolina. I have hear good things about Dr. Emerson and Dr.MacPhee. Has anyone experienced either of these people? If you are comfortable it would be great to see some more results. Any suggestions?

I wasn't able to find anything from Emerson, but MacPhee:

I haven't been able to find anything on Youtube for either of them. They probably have portfolios in office that you could look at.

Thank you, I have found vids for Mcphee but they are 2+yrs old. In terms of Emerson, I have seen a few pics via Facebook. I will keep looking.

Good luck! I've contacted 3 different surgeons for consults and they've all been very quick to tell me that they have wayyy more stuff in office than I'll be likely to find online (since some guys prefer to be more stealth following surgery and don't post their post-op pics for the public eye). If you're fairly settled on those two, I'd say it would be worth the time to visit them both. Besides the results, you may find that one is a better personal fit for you than the other.

Thank you for the advice. I just recently contacted them to setup a consult. I am still undecided about Dr.MacPhee as she does have one of the highest consult fees and cost for surgery that I have heard of nationwide. Do not misunderstand me, I am more than sure that she is worth it but her price is closer to what one might expect in  Boston or New York. Frankly, the top two choices for me now is Dr.Madalie and Dr. Emerson.

Have you inquired as to why her fees are significantly higher than other surgeons in the region? She may include things in her fees that other people don't. I believe my consult fee with Fischer is $125 or $150, and it goes towards the cost of surgery when I book with her. My consult with Zinsser is $60.

Honestly? I would look at some other mid-Atlantic options (with maybe Medalie and Garramone thrown in for good measure) and price out what it would cost you to have the surgery and stay locally for a week. Look up plastic surgeons in your area as well. I have another consult scheduled with a local plastic surgeon in my town who shows up on very few trans-related searches but has quite the portfolio of FTM work. There are loads of excellent surgeons nowadays, and travel is not as expensive as it once was.

My feeling is top surgery is one of those things that you can't research too much before you're ready to go. Good luck!

You can ask the surgeon for pictures before and after. Any surgeon unwilling to do that, might be questionable at best. You should look at results for body types similar to your own.
