Wasn't sure where to post this, but this topic seemed to fit the best.  Feel free to move it if it's in the wrong place.

I have my first endocrinologist appointment coming up on Tuesday, and I, foolishly, assumed that they were in my insurance network.  Some recent searching on the internet indicates that they do NOT take my insurance (Anthem BlueCross Blueshield).  I'm going to call their office and ask if they'll accept out of network insurance, but I'm not sure I'll be able to handle the extra fees that might entail.  I could, of course, try to find an endocrinologist that is in my network, but this is the only one my therapist works with. Any suggestions or input?

Thank you!

I don't know as your therapist has to 'work with' your endo. Mine don't and actually never see each other. You only need a letter from the therapist for the endo. End of relationship.
