I'm frustrated as I just found out my insurance provider united healthcare thru my employer won't cover gender related surgeries. It's self funded. I had our HR rep contact corporate & they said it's not covered. I know there's a way I can ask the employer to add coverage to the plan but not sure how to go about it. I'm in boston ma. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My son needs top surgery. He's turning 19 in febr. Thks sheila
