Has anyone else noticed insomnia after starting hrt? I used to have it once and a while when my anxiety was bad but I thought by starting hrt and eliminating most of that anxiety that I would be able to sleep on a schedule. But it seems to have aggravated the insomnia, I have heard that this is sometimes common but that it subsides after a short while. It's been over a month and still not sleeping well.  I can't really consult with my doctor because I had to move to different town and haven't found a  new GP to work with me yet. I'm trying to stay away from sleeping pills because I'm a recovering addict and could see myself getting hooked on them. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated :) :)
Be you, the world will adjust.

Sometimes, this may happen due to not enough E in one's system after the loss of androgen...or even too much E, perhaps? Bio-identical progesterone is known to improve sleep and can perhaps also be taken for this. You need to discuss all this with your doctor, share this info with them and see what they have to say. Best of luck. :)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

Happened to me when self medding. Scared the crap out of me. Subsided after a week. That said, I would get up in the middle of the night to dress up too.

Now being dr monitored it really hasn't happened. But maybe my body has gotten acclimated to its new hormone balance.
