Hi everyone, this will be my first post here, I'm a transguy and I've recently entered a relationship with a transgirl. We've both been on hrt for about the same amount of time, but she tells me a lot how jealous she is of how well my physical appearance has changed on testosterone, whereas she is afraid of never passing (as a trans person myself I feel like I can share the sentiment).
She wants me to help her out with things like makeup and helping her overall appearance more feminine, which I'm happy to do, as even though I'm a transguy I'm still like quite a few feminine things and know a thing or two about makeup. I figured I needed to learn a bit more about facial feminization techniques with makeup and such however, and there I ran into a problem.

It seems like almost all the support for transwomen out there is only for skinny girls, with typically oval or heart shaped faces that are easy to contour, while there's nearly no support for more heavyset androgynous girls like my girlfriend.  I know she's really concerned that her weight will have negative impacts on her ability to pass.

Aren't there any online places with support for androgynous or heavy transgirls? There's support for overweight transguys everywhere, it isn't fair that by transitioning transgirls should become inclined to the strict societal standards of women while transguys are allowed to slack off on personal hygiene and be praised for it.

I guess in the end I'm asking, does anyone know if there's anywhere with support for helping either androgynous or heavy transgirls pass, or individual people who fit those categories that have advice?

(sorry if this is a bit messy and incoherent)

Hey Avery,

welcome :) I know nothing about make-up (lol, yeah, finally figured out recently why I always hated the thought of painting my face :D).

I think that maybe you should consider having this post moved to the mtf board -- I'm sure there will be a lot of good advice from the wonderful ladies there :).

Looking forward to seeing you around!

Thanks, I actually think I will move this to the mtf boards :) I'll leave this up here in case anyone has any suggestions here though, maybe someone's been in a similar situation.
