My girlfriend has only been on hrt for a short time, and she still feels like people don't view her as a woman. Her birthday is the day after Valentine's day, so I thought maybe I would surprise her by driving the 100 miles down and taking her on a little date. Nothing too over the top since she's still a little uncomfortable with her looks and I know I can't pass worth a damn, but just a nice quite meal. I'm buying her a little heart-shaped ring with a nice teal apatite stone, but I'm not sure how to go about giving it to her. Before the meal? After? Before I leave?
Also, should I attempt to dress passably, or just let it be since I tend to look a little off? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
