Sensitivity of post-op vagina

Hi, it has been almost 8 months post-op for me - I did it with Dr.B. However, I am still getting sensitivity with my vagina - I'm very conscious when I go near my bathroom counter (my crotch area still feels pain when I place my hands slightly over it). Any form of pressure leads to pain and I am very careful about knocking my crotch area randomly.

This gives me anxiety... will my new neovagina feel like just a body part of mine eventually? Or will it forever feel like a damaged, scarred organ?

I've been told countless times that healing can take up to a year.
I'm 4...almost 5 months post, but Healing fine with no pain per se.
Rememebr, we all recover at a different pace...some long or shorter than others
May want to see your doctor or the surgeon

I know for me, I would say my entire healing took about 1.5 years. I was still feeling those electric shock sensations a good 1.5 years after surgery.

First,  I  would  encourage  you  to  see  your  surgon. 
  what  you  are  discribing  seems  to  be  a  bit  excessive  at  8  months. 
  things  like  that  could  easily  be  something  simple,  like  a missed  stitch  still  there,  perhaps  grown  over  now  with  skin.  or  an  ingrown  hair....  one  folical  they  missed  that  is  now  growing  the  wrong  direction  and buggin  you. 
 
the  only  way  to  know  for  sure  is  to  let  the  doc  take  a  look.
