Anyone know the LGBT (esp T) climate in Mobile Alabama?

I have a possible job connection.  Not an offer, but a strong 'who you know' connection for a job in Alabama, most likely Mobile.
I am excited for the opportunity, but wondering about the location.  All I have is internet and anecdotal info. Anyone here have any experience living in Alabama, particularly in Mobile?

I've lived in various parts of Alabama my entire life. I'd tell anyone thinking of coming here not to. Well, I guess it depends on how bad where you currently live is. But it's hard for me to imagine you live in a part of the US that could be worse... Although I'm sure there are a few places. How badly do you need that job?

It could be different in Mobile, but there is zero support or resources for trans people where I live. That's probably the biggest thing. Make sure you'll still be able to get your T if you move down here. 'Cause I can't get E.

I live in GA very close to the GA-AL line and there is no help anywhere near me either. I have to go into Atlanta for just about everything and would imagine you would have to probably go into Birmingham. I would say outside of Atlanta and the metro area most places in the south can be pretty hard to be trans in.
However, if your main concern is your test your endo should be able to give you a referral of some sort. I would just check into all of it before you actually move. Get out of state referrals from any doctor you see and then call those people and make sure it won't be a dead end. Maybe that will help cause jobs are hard to come by these days.
