Sometimes (myself included) the whole process of being precived as one's correct gender can become a little overwhelming. Either medically or via clothing. Finding a therapist. Joining this website. Changing our name. That sometimes we can forget to look at the little things around us, we can sometimes obsess about us and do we pass enough that we sometimes don't see the world from others and find out we do or forget to enjoy the simple little things (and problems) that we can have living as how we wish.

Yes I am guilty of counting the days down till my next doctors appointment and ranting and raving when I didn't get my letter. However after reflecting on shopping yesterday it occurred to me how many positive and fun experiences I've had. Being called Miss at work when they see my hair. Walking home when younger and seeing a car slow down as it passes me then drives past, (yes scary but ego boost). Shopping in the correct department and people not judging. Being encouraged to try on that skirt by a shop assistant. (Quick question does bad Italian restaurant table cloth go with red boots with white polka dots ???). Having the corect fragrances tried on you because they don't want you smelling like the opposite gender. Going to the bathroom (for me they're bigger even if I do have I line).

I guess what I'm trying to say is life can go way to fast and it's easy to get caught up in it sometimes and not relax and enjoy some moments. People it's the presentation that changes not the core personality. When we start to worry this is too much of a guy/ girl thing I have to drop it. We forget nobody is the same we are all different in interest and personalities.

Guys next time you're in that menswear store, take a moment and think. You're here buying that three piece suit because you have a formal event to go to and YOU wanted to look your best.

Girls don't feel uncomfortable in the ladies change room we belong in there, and no you don't have to buy everything you try on
