Hi,

I'm a 19 yo male that is already very androgynous and get maimed a lot on the phone as well as going out. I finally have decided to go through with HRT and just wanted to know what I should experience. I know everyone is different but the general Idea. I should also give you guys my measurements so you guys know what I'm working with. Right now my current height is 5'6 and 100-105lbs. My measurements for my chest is 30 inches, my waist 23 inches and my hips 31.5 inches. Since I'm very skinny and already have a pretty feminine body, although my dream would be wider hips because of the fact that I have good curve difference in the front, somehow from behind my shoulders seem a little wider than my hips. Also, when I start growing boobs will I be able to hid them well from my family? I don't want them to know and I'm thinking they wont get that big so it shouldn't be a problem.

I think the effects that are mostly considered to be universal would be loss of muscle mass, breast growth, thinning of skin (giving it a more feminine look) and fat redistribution. So you'll probably get wider hips in that sense, but it won't have any effect on your actual bone structure.

I think you should be able to hide smaller breasts. I've also heard of people binding to hide them, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Personally, I'd be afraid of that inhibiting growth or otherwise damaging them, but that's just my own concern.

I hope you're not self medicating as hormones are very dangerous and are not to be treated lightly.

You might find it hard to explain breast growth as it does happen before you know it and they don't go away.
You should also get hip widening as you are still young and the bones have not fused yet.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Hi there

You don't explain whether you want to start HRT because it seems like a good idea, or because you wish to transition and become a woman.  People want feminisation for different reasons, but it rather helps to have your ideas as clear as possible, and to have a future-looking plan.

HRT produces systemic effects, both physical and psychological, so have you considered the mental and emotional aspects?  Those could easily be more noticeable to people than little breasts.

I think it's important to start HRT understanding clearly what possible effects they may have on you, but also to keep your expectations realistic and to not obsess about the possible results.  I've seen people on this site express extreme disappointment about their HRT results, hoping for big breasts, hips and whatever else, and some bodies just don't cooperate.

Good luck

Okay thanks and I want to be a women just to clarify. I'm hoping since I'm very tiny and my measurements are already less than genetic females I'm going to get very good results. My dream would be for my hips to widen as that would make me as happy as ever.

Well, Iliam, if you are tiny this really helps to remove a major stress from transitioning - I know this from my own experience.  I was quite ridiculous as a 162cm 50kg guy, but as a girl it all just works. Clothes just fit, and you probably don't have a very deep voice either.

I'd love you to get those hips... I will have a talk to the hip fairy for you :D

Thanks. Are there any others that have any input on the changes I should experience. I'm just really curious and some more insight would be awesome.
