so is it normal for breasts to start out a little pointy and cone like? Basically like there not as full and round on the bottoms and sides and im really worried I could end up with tubular breasts... do breasts fill out and round out more usually?? And does not taking progesterone cause tubular breasts? Have those of you who HAVEN"T been on progesterone gotten normal breast development?? Really need to know this as its been really worrying me..

Mine started off pointy and they gradually rounded out. Then they grew pointy and once again they rounded out. So for me it was a cycle of growth.

Yes, it's the way they all start out. The padding (hopefully) comes later, just give it time.

Yup. Mine have been the same way... pointy, sensitive, obvious nipple growth, then rounding out more and calming down. Then more sensitivity and conical shape and nipple growth, then slowly rounding out again. And it's been going on for 2 years now, more or less nonstop.

I experienced this on E and an AA only.

Adding P didn't really have much effect on me. Perhaps I need more development before P has any effect for me.

Yeah its normal like everyone else is saying. P helps with reaching full breast maturity but in terms of how they develop its more or less the same I think.

Ms Grace

All three, but since I'm in the early stages (18 months) the development is still going on. Conical but becoming less so is how I'd classify them.

Yeah I'm like a few months away from my 3 year mark and mine are looking great. I've been waiting for them to reach the later stages of maturity for a while now and I'm finally there. I feel like I might hit a boobie road block (lol) in growth cause I still haven't had the testes removed yet. Either way, If I hit the last stage pre-op, I will be super duper happy *crosses fingers  ;D

I'm on E and spiro, but I think my genetics is playing a big part because I'm 14 months in and I have a full 38 DD

I was in Washington DC last February and toured some magnificent art museums.  Nude female sculptures most frequently featured those small conical breasts seen on teenage girls and suggest to me that such a shape is therefore idealized to some degree, at least by sculptors.

I won't use that other n word but it does seem that breast development often starts with those conical shapes and then rounds out in time.  I was a bit asymmetric for a short while and worried about that too and my brief concern was, as usual, not real helpful and had no impact anyway.  Go with the flow and watch em grow.

Yes, breasts go through several stages of development, the first stage is called the mounding stage and characteristically will resemble a rather pointy baseball pitcher's mound

Over several years the breast will go into a variety of stages as it forms and takes shape, the size and shape is pretty much luck of the draw and will very greatly per individual

I've mainly been on E, but have also taken spiro and progesterone for short periods of time

Back in the old days they probably used teenage girls as models anyway.

Lets see, three things come to mind, first that 'n' word I'm sure stands for 'nice'  :) , second I need to remember this "Go with the flow and watch them grow" and last but not least, I think a 'nice'   :) retirement hobby would be to look into learning sculpture  >:-) .

Gosh where was I, oh yeah the answer, mine followed this pattern, and they seem hell bent on outdoing each other.    Dani

I was on high dosage of E and high dosage of Androcur back then and I developed tubular breasts as they started conical and simply stayed that way. I had corrective surgery eventually. Now I know that I probably just had a massive lack of Progesterone effect. I did not take any Progesterone back then and instead Androcur acted as a Progesterone blocker. After the surgery it was kind of ok for some years - last year I started on Progesterone and gained one bra cup size from D to E - not in chest size in inches (so on paper I did not gain a cup size but I had to buy one bigger size bra to replace my old ones)  but in volume as they filled out to become totally more rounded and full.
So if you can get P, I would take it - in teenage girls there is first the E and soon after that the breasts start to bud in a conical shape, then the period sets in and P is in the  body as a result and then the breasts become fuller.
Everyone has some P in the body, some more, some less, if it is not suppressed by Androcur, it can be enough to give a normal breast development in some.

What transpires when you have large moobs starting on HRT??? Will they round out and begin growing in a female fashion???

See: Differences between Man Boobs and Gynecomastia

It will probably depend on whether your moobs are the result of being over weight or from gynecomastia. In the former it is just fat deposit and the latter instance is due also to glandular development. You need glandular development for breasts. It may be that the glandular development mightn't be noticeable under the moobs so it might seem like nothing is happening until it all catches up to the appropriate size under normal development. But I'm no expert so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Yes, perfectly normal, and that's what early teenage girls' breasts look like too. Fat deposits eventually help with the rounding out.

I have only ever taken (low dose) estrogen, no anti-androgen much less progesterone, and at 5 years on HRT I have nicely rounded mature 42DDD breasts. But even though I was a C cup at 4 months on E, they were definitely perky and conical and teenage at that point... it took years and patience for them to get the mature shape and be less sticky-outy.

I also started with some genuine gynecomastia, meaning actual glandular development, and it's very possibly the reason that I developed so fast.
