I guess the question aimed at what people who are post transition do wear and/or what they actually LIKE to wear, not if for reasons of not having come out yet or other such reasons not being able to wear what they like.

I was simply interested in what people actually wear.  Hence the question.  Obviously people can have all sorts of reasons for what they do.  If you want to get into that side of it, you're going to have a hard time designing a poll because you're going to have to anticipate all those reasons.  I myself can't do that.

But if you want to analyse the comments that people make accompanying the poll, as you're pointing out, you can find further points of interest.

I wear trousers. I experimented with skirts and dresses for a while, but I came to the conclusion that they're really not my thing. They kind of get in the way and can even restrict movement, which I don't like.

For me, clothes really have never been an important part of my transition or identity in general. I just wear whatever I find to be the most comfortable and/or practical and I found that I never got very much of either from switching. Sure, it might help me pass a bit more, but I'm just relentlessly being me.

It's a panty hose cold day where I am, pants or skirts. I love dresses. To me nothing feels better than a very nice dress, causal, daytime or evening formal but just a dress. It does not have to be fancy but it's so easy to look & feel nice with a dress, no matching blouse to skirt, etc.....

Almost always going to see me in skirts and dresses, I'm a girly-girl with a tomboy streak ;) The climate is pretty forgiving where I live though, so even in Winter I can wear skirts or dresses, in which case I'd usually opt for ankle or full length.  I do wear pants on occasion however, but always much prefer skirts, I got long slender legs that are worth showing off ^^;

As I'm not yet out at work, and barely even part time, I'm not including the fact that I wear pants when in male mode.  Once I am to the point I have to go to work, I will be forced by practicality reasons to wear pants more as Alana.  If it were purely on pleasure concerns I would still have to wear some sort of jeans, as it was mentioned yard work and gardening tend to ruin pretty clothes.  I also recently noted that I was the only female wearing a dress while out shopping last Saturday.  While all the other women were in jeans and winter coats I made due with just a light cardigan, it really wasn't that cold.
