Hello Everyone,

A question as a transgender woman (57) and have been on estrofem  and Spiro daily I am seeing slight results after 3 months. Defiantly sore so yes slow is the right word.

QUESTION:  when going to see your doctor first time and previously I have always gone in male mode to now discuss hrt and all things Transgender do I go in dressed fully fem as Suzi or is it better to discuss first as a male persona and go from their.I'm happy either way obviously going as Suzi is a shock to him.  but has to be done has to be done but advise from others who have done the deed. I look forward to receiving positive replies.

Make the switch to Suzi when you are comfortable doing it. The doctor knows what you are being treated for so it will come as no surprise unless you image is so good he doesn't know who you are. I had several doctors who knew both of me because I had a good deal going on when I went full time. I would suggest that when you switch to Suzi with a doctor you remain consistent as always appear as Suzi after the first appearance.

Hi Suzi (great name!!!). Welcome to Susan's.  :icon_wave:

Here are some links to site policies and other helpful information:

My doctor has a lot of trans clients, so I imagined he wouldn't mind if I came in as Suzi. I was right, he didn't. My suggestion is do whatever is most convenient for you. Your doctor works for you.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I think the usual advice is to do whatever makes you happy.

I've been on HRT for years and I still present male everywhere, including my endo and psych. Much as I might like to there's no way I'm walking out the door presenting female. It's never been a problem, and the medical treatment I've received has and will continue to be identical to that I would have if I'd presented as a 100% passable female.

It's possible that I'm lucky with the endo and psych I have though. I did a fair bit of research in finding them, and this site helped a lot.
