Ok this needed its own topic! Emisil, creator of some of the best prostheses on the market, is creating an stp.  :o This means those who were waiting for a realistic solution should soon have one.  I'm going to assume they plan to offer the uncut model as well.

Epic.

Woah, are you serious?

THat's actually some pretty damn good news! Where'd you get the info from?

That's great! ;D

Do you happen to know when it's coming out or what kind of STP it will be; nipple, medicine spoon, funnel (go-guy*)??

Where did you get the info as it isn't on the page?

I don't know what it will be, but I hope its "built in" or that they are wise enough to taper any tubing. They seem like a company who has been listening, so this ought to be a good one.

I got the information from emisil themselves.

If this information was sent to you as an email, any chance of copy/pasta-ing the relevant bits here justcause? I would be very interested in reading exactly what it is Emisil has said.

I'd like to see the email too, just cause I tried contacting them about this before but they ignored my email =(

Just adding my interest to this. Would very much like to see this email if at all possible, even just a snippet. I'm thinking of emailing Emisil myself and asking about the possibility of an STP — particularly on their uncut packers.

Sorry, for some reason my computer will not log me on this website anymore so I'm replying from my phone.

Emisil just said they were aware of other attempts and are working hard to create a superior stp...which I believe they can accomplish.

Well, it's been a year and a half later and Emisil finally has created the STP I posted about. I don't see it on their website yet but I don't see why it shouldn't be there in the very near future.  Had to find my username for this website so I could let you guys know; as I've personally been waiting for this.

Meanwhile, I see that RM has released an STP but no hair, super huge connection tab, and very long shaft still has me excited for the Emisil one, which is coming in sizes 4.3" and 5.7"

Anyway, if any of you are in the market for an STP.. may be worth waiting to see the STPs on emisil's website, and then making your decision.  I don't work for the company or anything, I've just been bugging them about creating one since their company first appeared on the market.  I know how pricey these things can be and I'd hate for someone to spend a lot of money on a prosthetic "just cause" and then something else they'd rather have comes out.  I did see the emisil stp and well, it looks really good.

I'm going to be getting one & when I receive mine, I will come back and let you guys know how it works.

I can't find this product at all. Went to website. It's not there. Put a link up. All you do is cut and paste. if you can't cut and paste for some reason, copy it and leave use the word dot instead of a the actual dot.
I don't think this should be too hard. This guy sounds like he has some deal with them. May be legit, and Emisil is a real company shipping products. Do not like shades of TUP. :)

Not on their website yet. Sorry if I was not clear, I edited my post to make it a bit more clear.
I don't know about any release dates, I just know that he (emisil co.) has actually created it.

I'm not really that big on community message boards, so I kinda come around every so often to check if there's been any new products.  I'm not associated with emisil at all, other than the fact I came across their company and had been asking them to do a STP.  I gave my viewpoint and opinion on current market offerings, and encouraged him to produce something.

What's "TUP"?

The problem with Emisil is that even the flaccid doesn't adhere.  I have read at least every post on here about this product and no one has ever says it actually stays put.  I suspect that at least part of the reason the RM stays adhered is the large tab.  I would think an STP not staying adhered would suck even more than just a packer that has a tab.

When it comes to looks though, it seems that the RM is more realistic, but I love the look/shape of the Emisil.

The Emisil's tab is large enough, I think.  It's just not ergonomic. It's totally flat, when it should be a little more concave.  I like that it's thin-you can actually feel your own skin through it-but. It need to be sculpted to "hug" the area better.

That makes a lot of sense, hopefully they fixed that on their new models.
That seems like something a lot easier to "update" then re-sculpting an entire new prosthetic

I can clear a few things up. I'm a product tester for Emisil.
They are sending me one of their STPs in the mail currently.
They have told me it will not be an adhered product. A harness will be necessary. There is no tab. It is funnel/receptacle style.
They are still tweaking a few things before releasing the final product, and they are awaiting my review as well. Let me know if there is anything you want me to try with it when I receive it to provide feedback towards the final product.
