Bunch of people got to meet Kelly today..

I have previously came out on facebook twice once last year and again last month. I have presented as Kelly many times in the community but never to my friends. Today I went to an AA meeting and to the VA as myself.
I was greeted warmly in both places.At the AA meeting I cant be sure if the warm reception was for me coming back after ten days on drinking binge or me being myself. At the VA my mental health team was very happy to meet me as me. They noticed that I was smiling a lot more and had a glow to me. If it was not for my friend who went hung with me today I do not know if I would have done so well.

One day at a time Kelly.  There is a higher power who will help you beat this.  Hopefully being able to be yourself will help you overcome your addiction.  We all have something that we use as a crutch to get through life.  Praying that you can find something healthy to be yours.
