My top ten "Moments When" from the past year

1.  The moment when I got the courage to wear dresses in public.
2.  The moment when I graduated to separates.
3.  The moment when the straight male manager at the local grocery store where I've shopped for years started calling me "sweetie".
4.  The moment when I first went to bed wearing a nightgown and giggled for like an hour because it felt so great.
5.  The moment when I realized there was something in my pushup bra to BE pushed up.
6.  The moment when I started wearing makeup to go out.
7.  The moment when I first saw my face slathered in cold cream and my hair bobby-pinned in the mirror and started sobbing for joy.
8.  The moment when I realized I could actually go out without makeup.
9.  The moment when a woman I'd never met first asked me for my opinion on an outfit while clothes shopping.
10.  The moment when I opened my birthday card from my mom and it said "To a Special Daughter."

1. A new sense of freedom and life.
2. Going full time.
3. Starting HRT.
4. Acceptance from my son.
5. Finding a community full of honest people with nothing to hide.
6. My legal name and gender change.
7. Drivers license with ME on it!!!
8. Many new friends and sisters.
9. Walking in the world without fear or compliance to perceived "norms".
10. Looking in the mirror every night and seeing new changes.
