Hi everyone!  I've been visiting and reading all the wonderful information and stories here on and off for several  months as a guest, and so it's time to introduce myself and become part of the group.  I'm 55, married, and have felt that I was meant to be a woman for many years despite my denial. Shortly after we were married I told my wife I like to wear woman's clothing.  She didn't seem too shocked or upset at the time.  In fact, she help me pick out clothes and makeup, etc.  Then after several very happy years of being Dana at home, she asked me to please not dress anymore because she wanted her husband not another woman.  Needless to say, I was crushed, but since I love her very much I said OK.  I even tried for many years to not dress and not let the feminine side of me out.  It is/was horrible!  My dysphasia grows stronger all the time.  I have not yet talked to a counselor, I'm working up the courage.  I just know that I have to do something or I'm going to explode.  I keep hoping that since my wife was open at one point I might be able to help her understand that this is who I am, it is the person she married on the inside.  I hope she will see that.  One step at a time. I crossdress when I'm alone and have even gone out a few times - it's so liberating.  My marriage and our relationship is everything for me I don't want to lose it, but at the same time I can't keep denying who I really am.

I look forward to getting to know you and being a regular here.

A big warm welcome to you!! I think you will really like it here as you find out you are by no means alone and someone is usually always here on the bad days. Relax and dig right in!  :) :)

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
