Wow, it's been a whole minute since I last posted here, but I had something I wanted to share. I went to visit my brother back in Colorado last week as I also had a dr appointment in Denver and I was able to see some of my friends while I was there. I used to work at a Starbucks by a mall (still work for Starbucks, just in Houston now) and happened to stop by both my old store and the store inside of the mall that I occasionally worked at. I got ma'am the entire time and after talking to the people I knew there and when they realized who I was they were shocked (in a good way!) and said that they didn't even recognize me and that they were really happy for me and my transition (our store and they're store are really close) and it was this moment that made me realize just how much progress I am making! Definitely a confidence booster!(:

That's great! Sometimes we can see our own progress because we're with it every minutes of every day. People who haven't seen you in a while are much more likely to notice the effects.

That's so awesome.  You should definitely feel accomplished from that.  I'm hoping to get to the stage where people I use to know won't even recognize me.  It'll make things easier to stay in my town, heh heh.
