Having already written my first post on these forums, I forgot to formally introduce myself!

My name, and only name I've ever had, is Madison Harmon Bullock IV. I'm 23 years old, one year removed from completing my 4 year English (Creative Writing emphasis) degree at St. Cloud State University. And, on a less important note, a Computer Programming and Organization minor. I live in St. Michael, Minnesota, with my family.

What brought me to this board is, of course, a very drawn-out but finally confronted sensation of gender dysphoria. I'm a man, born, but I've never felt it. But I'm not here to wax poetic about these struggles we all face -- I pretty much did that in my other stream-of-consciousness post. This is about the fun stuff!

So without further delay, my interests:

I absolutely love writing. And reading. Go figure? I also am a pretty big fan of fragmented sentences. I just finished reading Clockwork Orange, am currently reading Proxima, and have next on the docket Slaughterhouse-Five. I'm always looking for suggestions on what to read next. I may be an English major, but likely not nearly as well read as most of you.

I love, love, LOVE, Astronomy. I honestly can't get enough of it -- the physics, the vastness, the possibilities, and of course... the pretty pictures. A lot of my own personal writing has a science fiction theme, and I love when these two passions collide. My passion for the stars around and within us started growing unchecked in late high school, and found a focal point once I read Space Chronicles: Facing the Ultimate Frontier and Death by Blackhole by the Astronomical frontman Neil deGrasse Tyson. And yes, I loved Interstellar.

And music, right? I mean that's in everyone's interests. I used to be a fan of strictly rock music, but I've since branched out thanks to college. Rise Against is still my personal favorite, if only for the sentimentality of days gone by.

Oh, and I love The Walking Dead. And Hockey (I'm from Minnesota.) I don't think I can mix those two, but I'm putting them on the same line regardless.

Of course, I'm also a huge gamer. I don't even want to ballpark how much of my life has been spent online or in some digital world. My game of choice varies, but I've probably spent the most time in World of Warcraft -- but I'm currently experimenting with DayZ on Steam. I'm a big fan of the classic RPG.

In closing:

Anyway, there's probably a dozen other things I could list here, but I should probably just close with a little bit about me. I'm shy. You might not be able to tell here -- through a textual medium I'm pretty talkative. Because of that shyness I've held back most conversation about myself as a transgender, and have done hardly anything up to this point to explore it. Ever since I was a child, I've loved to make people laugh. Humor was my specialty growing up, and if I can make anybody on these boards chuckle or chortle, I'll consider it time well spent!

I can't think of much else to write, so I'll leave that up to the replies. Thanks for reading (and you better have read!), and I hope to spend some more time on these boards. It's a very fluid moment in my life, and I look forward to reading the experiences, advice, and anecdotes of everybody here to right my own ship through life.

Regards,

Madison

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
