The NEA supports a beefed-up federal hate crimes law with heavier penalties. The NEA wants federal legislation to confer special rights on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.

The NEA passed at least a dozen resolutions supporting the "gay rights agenda" in public schools.

If you could not tell by the excerpt, this is a conservative site.

They set the stage of the article by referring to the "pro-spending" policies of the Democratic party.  I can't contain myself I'm laughing so hard.  As many times as they tell me that Republicans are invisible (fiscally responsible), I still seeeeee them.  Hmm... over the past six years, they have incurred more national debt than ALL previous administrations combined. Hypocrites.

This is one of those articles that I honestly believe hurts the cause of the radical right more than it helps.  It should be posted everywhere!  The author lists all of these horrible things the NEA feels is important and then lists the things that she thinks are relevant to her perspective.

Personally, I feel that the difference in magnitude and importance of the two lists is extraordinary.  I think people need to see, understand, and know how these issues apply to themselves. If we can look past the tone of her personal remarks (which is bafflingly difficult to so many these days), she has quite succinctly posted the significant differences between the two political camps.

But, CINdi-

These are ALL things that would be going to undeserving people who haven't EARNED them!  If the little tykes didn't have the god-given sense to be parented by moral, righteous, godly parents who can earn the resources, then they don't deSERVE to go to kindergarten at age 4!  Can't you SEE?  The same thing with universal health care 'provided' by us moral, upstanding tax-che -- er, -payers!  Maybe getting sick or injured, or the fear thereof, will be a GREAT motivator to get your duff off the welfare rolls and go out and get one of those GOOD jobs just waiting to be had!

Silly gurl...
