I'm fairly passable and there is this guy  who was with me all day long and who never had any doubts on me, saw me naked and everything(post op) but until came a point where he just suddenly STARED DEEPLY INTO MY EYES. And he said "OMG you're a man".  :o OMG now I'll avoid looking at people straight into the eyes. Eyes are windows of the mind/soul and it emits by telepathy I guess everything you think in your mind.

Did you ever get clocked just being stared into the eyes?

And another weird way of being clocked are the CHILDREN. I don't understand how big grown up adults don't clock me but once a little boy of like 6 years old told to me his mom 'Mommy why this boy wears a dress"  :o

Funny, something similar happened to me yesterday. I would not say that people can actually "clock" me because I present very androgynous (no makeup, unisex clothing), so they either gender me female or try not to gender me at all. But they usually do not stare at me - yesterday was different. As I was walking through shopping mall, somehow my eyes for a brief second met with one good-looking woman who was dressed conservatively but with a definite touch of fashion. Next thing she was doing, was staring me down and up again (almost like checking out my shape) and with my peripheral I noticed that as soon as we passed each other, she turned around to take and extra look. It was kinda annoying, because I am usually very confident in public and those those stares pretty much never happen to me. And the same thing happened today, without meeting eyes - another woman turned around to give an extra check.

P.S. On the other hand, I have passed to small kids a couple of times (and then again, sometimes I did not :D ).

That used to happen A LOT when I was supposed to be male. Someone would look me in the eyes and either change pronouns or become very confused.

Another possibility: He clocked you some other way and wanted you to think he had mystical powers so he stared into your eyes and declared you trans.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I'm still waiting to be "clocked" in a similar fashion to that. It will happen someday. There is someone for everyone, including me.
