I am 55, married with 3 offspring and living with GID since the age of 8 or 9 that I remember.
I have had some events in my life in the last 12 months that has caused me undertake a review of my inner self. Particularly the source of my stress levels. After getting a referral to see a psychologist under Australia's Medicare system, the issue of my gender dysphoria and being asexual was discussed.
As a result of those discussions, I discussed this with my regular General Practioner, who asked what I wanted to do, and I said that I would like to try a low dose HRT to see if that will reduce the GID, as the stress was causing heart issues. He agreed, and referred me to a endocrinologist but also wanted me to see a psychiatrist to sign off on the mental aspect.
I am still living as a male, but go to the psychologist, psychiatrist and speech therapist as a female.
My question is, how should I present to the endocrinologist.?
Both the psychologist and psychiatrist (both female) recommend that I get as much experience as I can.
I am not sure where I want to end up, either androgonous or female. I know if I am on HRT that I will get a certain amount of feminisation. I am not masculine as it is, and already have a bit of gyno.
