WHERE IS MY WATER!?

So, apparently, in this trailer park it's commonplace for the water to shut off when temperatures drop down around freezing. I'm scruffy, smelly, and generally uncomfortable, and can't shave or shower because of this crap. Assuming there's not too much snow to walk around in when I get up in the morning, I'm going to go have a chat with the park manager. I'll be polite, but I'll politely let him know that this is ridiculous. Spring can't come fast enough! UGH.
To strive to reach the apex of evolution is folly, for to achieve the pinnacle is to birth a god.

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

Yes, I imagine the water might freeze in the pipes. They really need to do something about that.

I was about to suggest that! If the solution's not fixed you can always scoop some of that lovely snow on up and let nature work wonders, perhaps boil it though. e.e

Yeah. I've already had one pipe break, because some idgit decided that the best place to put the water line that comes from the ground to the trailer was OUTSIDE, covered only by a 3-sided wooden box. We had our own repair man come out and fix it, and he insulated the crap out of it (a little foam tubing and what had to have been six rolls of duct tape!)

Well, I'm a soda addict myself. Still trying to knock the ol' caffeine habit. But it makes it hard to cook. And...melting snow to use for drinking? I think I'll pass. It'd probably be healthier to try the Bear Grylls approach than to do that, with all the junk in the air these days.

Boil it then let it cool will purify all the crap out of it.  or boil it and make coffee coffee coffee

We've had the water pipes freeze a few times here at my apt.s during some winters, it was definitely frustrating

I've since learned to make ready for power and water outages ahead of time

My grandparents lived in one of the few Australian towns where it would get cold enough in winter for pipes to freeze. When I was a kid I thought it was weird all the external pipes on their house was wrapped in hessian cloth. Worked pretty well apparently!

Has  no one heard of heat tape? I live in a trailer also but have heat tape on my pipes.

Stryker, I've seen that set up but usually the box is insulated heavily and again, heat tape is on the pipe.
