Hi everyone! Hope you're all well and taking care of yourselves! I have just joined Susan's because I've just set up my own business as a make up artist. I am a cis gender woman (I hope that's the right term) and I once had a very good family friend who was a transgender woman. She was wonderful but over the years, and as I grew up, we lost contact. I thought about her often as I progressed through college and got my qualifications. Now I'm setting up, it is important to me to help people like Elaine who don't have much guidance by way of make up and I know that it can be heartbreaking to feel stuck in a body you don't belong it. I want to help. I'm not selling anything but I joined Susan's to tell any of you ladies that need guidance that you can ask me completely free of charge. I also want to set up tutorials via my website for people who want guidance in person and I was generally just hoping for a little bit of insight if I'm honest. I want to help and these are the only skills that I have so I wanted to offer them.

Warmest regards,
P x

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Welcome!
I will extol the benefits of a makeup artist with my story.
In 2007 I was deep in the closet, afraid to face the real world because I feared how I looked and how I applied makeup. I learned what skills I had from online.
I Googled a few makeup artists in my city, and one of them agreed to a makeup lesson for her home office.
Those three hours, learning about "less is more", skin tones, techniques, brushes, applications etc made I believe the difference in me coming out.
She has become one of my best friends and as I look back six years full time, it was because of her. I may not even be "out" if it weren't for her because she helped my confidence zoom.
