Part of the speed at which you heal has to do with the amount of tissue and method of removal. I don't recall any bleeding post surgically, but I was small and had drains in that were in for a week.
Anytime you remove a fair amount of tissue, some "dead space" is left behind. In other words, a cavity that once had tissue and now does not. If the tissue is not tacked down with internal sutures, fluid can build up in the dead space which can be anything from a seroma, which is pinkish to light yellow fluid, or blood if there is a small bleeder. Activity too soon makes fluid buildup more likely to happen.
keep an eye on it and check with your Dr. if it continues. Any odor associated with the bleeding or increase in soreness can be a sign of infection and should be checked out immediately.
