Differences between cisgender and transgender breasts?

Besides the obvious that size would not necessarily be as big as say the women in your family, what are some other differences one would come to except. Like Nipple size and texture and the Areola area as well as the overall shape and texture outside. In addition what would be some internal differences? Does anyone have some medical info and/or comparisons?

I have breast tissue, nipples comparable to a cis-woman, and underdeveloped areoles (I'm thinking about cosmetic tattooing to increase the size, but since I have breast implants I don't know if that is something I should do).

I have expert opinions from about a dozen medical professionals at this point that there are none (and I don't buy the "smaller" theory either, though I do think breast volume will *look* smaller on a broader chest, which might be how that got started). That includes, at this point, having them checked by people who do dozens of breast exams a week and didn't know I was trans and said everything was normal... ditto friends of mine who've had mammograms; the only difference for them is that their breasts are denser than is typical for a woman their age, because the boobs are newer ("young" breast tissue tends to be denser).

The more common differences between trans ans cis breasts are only due to underdevelopment , otherwise if a trans woman starts on HRT early enough there will be no internal or external differences shawn, even size wise. Staring HRT early for me meant I have big areolas (almost too big for my liking to tell you the truth) and developed sizeable breasts that I still decided to eventually get enhanced by a BA.

Low dose HRT-2004
Full time and full dose HRT-2009
BA/Rhinoplasty-May 2013
FFS-Aug 2014
Body contouring-Jan 2015
GRS- Feb 2016

Ahh I see well I am 42, so I am wondering if my Areolas will not look the same. How much different are areolas vs the ones that men have on there chest anyways? I mean yes I know they look different, but all humans start out with nipples regardless.

Oh this makes sense to me now. At 4 months my skin and chest are actually tighter and smoother now, starting to notice some perkiness.

Aureolas on women vary drastically in size. Some are about the size of a mans, some are huge and cover half the breast. There is no one size to be 'normal'.

Oh I see, well mine havent really changed much, just a little plumper and some darkening a little. But thats good to know.

So true.  I've seen quite a few in my time ranging from the size of a quarter to baloney sized ones.

I know a couple of breast cancer survivors who had nipples tattooed on after reconstruction.  It's pretty common, actually.

Mine are getting bigger.

The breasts? Bigger.

Nipples? Bigger.

Areole? Bigger.

Breasts? Big enough. They can stop now, please.

Nipples? Getting there.

Areole? Still small, but MUCH larger than they were.

They look fine. They feel big. Too big. Careful what you wish for.

Breasts come in all different shapes and sizes for everyone whether Cis or Trans  :icon_chick:  I've been rather happy with my development thus far

Hmm well right now they are a B Cup and thats what they were before i started, due to gynecomestia, but they kinda sorta look like they are getting bigger,  what I really need to work on is the other number. Last time I measured myself I was a 52 ...but that was at the start

I think maybe its the fact that I have a somewhat husky chest underneath that also steals away from what they could look like, which is why I am working on my health and weight. At the YMCA every day.

Some are concerned about the gap between the boobs. No cleavage, that is. Well, I seen many pictures of cis women who have no cleavage at all. Wide gaps between them. So, those who are worried about that, it is normal for many. I have no cleavage, either, but after seeing all the pictures, can't feel so bad about it.

I'm 65 years old.  My breasts are just a few years old and don't sag at all.  A 65 year old, with the breasts of an 18 year old... a bit incongruous.

As to breast size, I was watching one of my favorite TV shows (The Mentalist) and one of the stars is quite beautiful, but I just noticed today that she has very small breasts and I thought, gee, she is an actress on a popular TV show, so  why should  I worry.  Of course, I would also like to have her slender body, but, she also is much younger than I am!

Another thing I noticed is for the first 2 months when I was at a lower hrt dose, I was very sensitive almost to the point of aroasal and um well i played with my nipples and pinched them. I heard it was good to do that so I did

But now that has gone away and at the moment just a minor amount of pain, but actually when I jump or bounce I do notice more.

I personally think legs are sexier than breasts myself. I have never really been concerned about size when looking at other women. If a group of guys was sitting there going on and on about a girls chest, I never really got interested in the conversation.

I started HRT at 43. 14 months on HRT (first 7 months on pills and rest on injections), my areolas got darker the first 9 months and a little bigger. Lately they are getting bigger and I'm a B cup and still growing from what I can tell. They definitely don't look like male nipples any more :)

One thing I can say is that changes seem to happen faster on injections than pills.

wELL mY doctor told me she didnt think injections would be neccesary in my case. Not sure how she can come to that conclusion after 4 months, but then I am not a Doctor.

It is good to hear that someone close to my age is having a good response.  :)
