Hi, I am a girl that is stuck in a male body. I am 17 years old . And I want to transition but I'm scaring, I came out my parents they are supporting me but I think they don't let me to transition because they think It is unsafe they think I have to be sex worker If I do that, and also they think It is hard to live that way they are worrying about me. They are not transphobic . Also I am worrying about it too, what if noone give me a job ? I am going to be an university student in one year, I am going to be an English teacher. I think if I look very feminine and with vocal exercises If my voice turn feminine I will find a job and have a good life. My biggest fear is what if after HRT I will be still looking masculine when I check trans women some of them are pretty feminine and some of them  not. I don't want to be rude sorry, but I don't want to look masculine I am so scaring ... I need help I hope you understand me. Sorry If I say something to break your heart. Thanks for your comments.  :-\

I actually do understand! I'm 14 and while, no, I guess I can't really help, I can reassure you that people understand. I have like two years to wait until I can start blockers and stuff, or at least I think so. Idk. Anyway, I get it. I too am scared that I won't ever pass and that I'll look too masculine and the whole coming out process is daunting to me. It's good to have supportive parents like ours, so that's good. The people on here that are older (no offense you guys, you are) and wiser than me will likely have words of wisdom for you!!

fluttershy1617, can you share with us what country you are in? Knowing that might affect the advice people give you a little bit...

fluttershy1617, I was looking at the Wikipedia article on LGBT Rights in Turkey. It looks like you can legally change your gender, but of course there is still discrimination (just like in the US).

Regarding job discrimination, is it possible that the Pink Life LGBT Association (Pembe Hayat) can give you more information on what you can expect?

Also, have you tried presenting as female yet? Do you have specific concerns about your appearance, or are you just beginning to think about that issue?
