Just starting HRT, questions.. and advice?

Hullo! I just got my hormones last night!! I'm so excited! I have spironolactone and estradiol. I have to take the estradiol sublingually, which is inconvenient but I'll deal because I'll be happy ^_^ Anyways, I got a general timeline for physical changes from my dr, but when (or will I?) should I expect mental effects? And does anyone have any advice for me? I'm so happy :DD

Oh I so remember that first day!

Many girls get instant relief from E, it is probably just a placebo effect, you feel fantastic because you have started! But it takes a few hours for E to get into your system.

Give it a week or two and get ready for the fun changes. Don't expect too much, just relax and enjoy your new life - it will hit you soon enough! Enjoy, maybe have a nice bubble bath and shave your legs and polish your nails and start to feel all girly

I got it the next day when I first started. Just amazing. I've no idea if it was the estrogen or from relieving all the built up stress, but it was a great day.

I personally had the immediate psychological placebo effects. Somewhere between then and now (1 month), I am feeling psychological effects that I am confident are due to the hormones. It's all wonderful, regardless of the cause.

I had a feeling of calm at day 3. 6 weeks later the cumulative effects were really starting to amount to significant changes starting to happen.

In the beginning I had a headache and a slight feeling of nervousness. In a week I had a bit of insomnia, skin softening and scent change.

But it only gets better! Trust me you're gonna enjoy the ride! Congrats!
