I aspirated and drew back blood on my third ever T shot. It's a real thing, though I was under the impression it is not common.  I inject in my thigh.

Curious if it's happened to you guys.

Also, I hated throwing away T!

Never to me, but I have a few years of trying left.

So far, I never drew back blood. Only air bubbles.

I drew back blood on my first unassisted shot. I wasn't sure to toss the T or to re-try, so I just injected it into my other thigh. The only side-effect was that the spot where I injected was a lot more painful than usual. It doesn't happen often from what I have heard.

My 1st two shots were painless. The site where I drew back blood hurts now, but not the injection site. Weird.

i also don't really know what to do with the air bubbles. When I push them out, it pushed out some T first. But maybe that's T that would have been lost anyway when I swap needles.

Not weird at all. Puncturing the vein made a hematoma form. It will subside when the swelling goes down. Why does it hurt more than the injection? Simply volume. You bled more cc's into your tissue than you injected.  It will fade soon. :)

That makes perfect sense. I always wondered about why bruises hurt as much as they did and that would explain it.
