I had my consult with dr Bart In London this weekend. It went OK and quite quickly. What he suggested is Forehead recontouring type 1 (shaving) with hairline lowering and browlift (including orbital rim shaving); rhinoplasty and Adam's apple reduction (I have a small Adam's apple but it can be visible sometimes; also I just don't want to feel it when I touch my neck or when I guy touches me).

I was a bit surprised that he didn't suggest anything else...like jaw work. He basically listened to what I had to say and didn't say like..you should get this or that. Now, I am a bit worried about the type I recontouring as it's basically just a simple burring and I know the sinus wall can be damaged if it's too thin. He didn't mention anything about a CT scan on this area. I thought he would suggest the more common recontruction?! I am a bit freaked out and not 100% sure if I should go with him. His quote is very reasonable and I can literally get the surgery in June but I'm a bit freaked out cos he didn't say much!!! Do you girls think I'm being a bit paranoid?

We would need a photo to further assess whether or not Dr.Bart's recommendations are warranted.

Yes, a little  :) I suggest you take some good quality photos, and request an evaluation from 2 (or 3) more surgeons, (out of those who do the type3 reconstruction). If I dare to suggest 2 options, I would say Facial Team and Di Maggio. After receiving evaluations and opinions you will have much better idea about which forehead approach is the right for you (mention this concern).

I notice that you had your consultation with Dr Bart in London which suggests you are UK-based. If you want a face-to-face consultation with a different FFS surgeon in London you might also consider trying Dr Noorman van der Dussen. Like Dr Bart he is also based in Belgium but makes regular trips to London each month for the purposes of consultations. He is another well known and experienced surgeon in the field of FFS. There is also the maxillofacial surgeon Miss Caroline Mills in London who you could get a second a opinion from.

It may be worth getting a Cephalogram of the skull taken. This could be used to confirm that the Type I diagnosis is correct. I had one done recently in London with a Panorama view. The cost of the X-Rays was £50 each.
