Hey everyone, I'm looking to get my first binder. I've just been using multiple sports bras for the last few years (Still a minor, so I wasn't able to purchase one before), but now I have my own debit card and some money of my own to spend. I do sports and have PE everyday for school, so I'm not sure what would be good for that. I would probably not wear it for basketball, depending on if it were safe or not. Idk what my bra size is, but I'm a little bigger than other "girls" my age, being 5'4 and 160 pounds (I'm more athletically built though).

I've always heard things about the tri top, but the length seems kinda weird to me, halfway to my waist, but not short like a sports bra either. Sports bras just aren't doing it for me anymore, unfortunately, at least the ones I have. I also have the swim unit in PE coming up, and I have no idea what I'm gonna do for that, it's not like I'm out at school or anything, but I'm very uncomfortable with my chest, especially with swimming.

So, anyone have suggestions? A binder that's good for physical activity and not too expensive?

I think the less expensive brands are underworks and GC2 binders. Some people like one kind and some the other. I've also heard some people like these. There is an ebay place to get these and it is still cheaper. (Personally I prefer dealing with Amazon.) Keep in mind that these are in Asian sizes and appropriately 1-2 sizes too small (order 1-2 bigger). Also that these may not be good for larger chests. Don't worry re: the "women's", "lesbian", "tomboy", nonsense. I believe this is cultural to parts of Asia.

Aleon515's suggestion looks good (the tomboy binders). GCB2 binders are great at getting you a flat chest, I'd 100% recommend if that's what you're looking for but it may be too tight for physical activity. I have an underworks tri top that doesn't flatten as well as GCB2 binders but are looser, so much so that I can sleep in it without feeling like it's crushing my ribs. If you're going for a conventional binder definitely get it half length, otherwise it'll do that annoying thing of sticking out at the bottom of your tshirt.

I've gone through quite a few binders in the past two years. I tried Underworks, I wasn't too pleased with these plus they were kind of expensive. I got one from Mansculpture which I was wearing for about a year. It was ok but after awhile I got tired of it riding up out of my pants and it wasn't the best for flattening. I looked into the GC2B binder and saw the results people had from them and I decided to give it a shot (33 bucks is not bad at all). I ended up ordering way too small so make sure you measure how they tell you to on the website. I finally got my size and tried it on and it's pretty much the flattest I got my chest. The nice thing too is that they make them in both half length and long length. I got the half length because I hated tucking my binder into my pants. So if you want cheap, perfect flattening of the chest, and a binder that isn't going to kill your back and your chest go with the GC2B. I can finally wear a damn T-Shirt now lol. Goodluck!

PS-I'm 5'7 and about 170lbs there are people that are much larger that have had luck with the GC2B. Also I'm not sure if you have started Testosterone yet but you are going to gain a lot of weight. I gained like 30lbs
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
