Is anyone else thoroughly enjoying Tumblr's blackout ? Because I am absolutely loving having gorgeous people all over my dashboard and blog, the selfie game is A+ and damn, the class and style I am seeing left, right and center is more than impressive.

Yeah, it's the first time I've seen it, but it's amazing. It's so cool, and I'm sure it's great to just have a day (or however long period of time it is?) to celebrate them and it seems like everyone is just having fun. I think that's the best part of it, as far as I've seen.

" For those who don't know, Blackout Day is a day where black people post, share, reblog, like, and distribute other photos of black people on social media. This includes tumblr, instagram, the petri dish known as facebook, vine, twitter, and any other site that allows you to share photos. This is only for black people. "

Urchin, its been organized just for the one day after having tumblr all but ignore Black History Month. Its funny to see how many people unfollow you during the #blackout, because these people obviously at some point will have to admit to themselves that they're racist pieces of dog turd, and I hope that they all have a very difficult time dealing with themselves after that realization.

I'm not on tumblr, but everyone at the LGBT Center I work at was talking about it today.
"Choosing to be true to one's self — despite challenges that may come with the journey — is an integral part of realizing not just one's own potential, but of realizing the true nature of our collective human spirit. This spirit is what makes us who we are, and by following that spirit as it manifests outwardly, and inwardly, you are benefiting us all." -Andrew WK

Skin, that makes me so happy. I love knowing that people are actually talking about it!
