Yesterday I got my prescription for hormones, YAY! My doctor is starting me on a "half dose" of estradiol and spironolactone for about a month and a half, then she will give me a full dose. I am sooooo excited to see what changes happen!

I decided to start a blog, since I am so far away from my friends and family and my parents want to see pictures as I change and know how I am doing. I was hesitant to out myself so much on the internet, but then I figured who cares, everyone will know soon enough anyways lol. I have never built a website or done a blog before, if you would like to see it and maybe give some recommendations I would really appreciate it!  ;D

Woot woot!

You GO girl!

The low dose is to see how your body tolerates it and also to prepare your body for the change in chemistry. Remember you are doing a complete hormonal 180 so it needs to be started up gently and not yanked by the collar and dragged along.

Yay  :icon_joy: :icon_joy:
Now enjoy the Magic...  It's a wonderful thing, just keep in mind that each and every person reacts differently to the hormone changes.

Go girl!  It will be great if you can keep up the postings on your blog throughout the year. Then you will be able to look back through them to see all the subtle changes.  I just started HRT and would love to be able to publicly do just that. Alas I can't do that yet so I will just have to live vicariously through you.

Hugs to you sister.

Congrats, and good luck!

And don't sweat the low dose. Without citing numbers, yours is higher than mine, and I'll be on it longer than you before it's changed. My endo has had the most success with a gentle start, and I'm happy to be patient. I am seeing pretty significant changes even now after almost six weeks, and I've been waiting 37 years for this. I'll risk its taking a few extra months...

Congrats!

Due to how slow the system works here, and the fact that I missed an appointment with the endo coz I caught a cold giving out CVs... I've been on the lowest dosage for 7 months, and honestly the changes have been considerable... So don't worry about that too much :3 (Actually, I had blood tests a couple of weeks ago to get it increased hopefully by June.)

Oh and I had the same idea as you, but never stuck to it... So glad you're giving it a go, and looking forward to check once in a while :D

Thanks ladies! Lol I am not worried about the dose, the doctor is doing her job and I am glad she is making sure I can handle it first.
