Hello everyone !

I thought it good form to say a little hello to everyone as I am a new kid on the block!

I am a full time tg in my mid forties living in the north of Britian and looking to make friends with and communicate regularly with like minded individuals from around the world.  Like most I have been slowly becoming me since my earliest days.  Forever aware of the yearning tobe femminine - my earliest memories are of parading round the house wrapped in a towel - pretending it was  a skirt.  Oh how they all laughed then - !  I was probably five or six and I was forever labelled as a performer and a "drama queen" !  Oh how I loved that title best of all!

Teen dressing was aided by a close relationship with my sister,  she protected me from my parents wrath - she hiding my clothes and make up - whilst I stashed her cigarettes and kept her boyfiends secret! (It was ok for boys to smoke and girls to wear short skirts !!  Though I never did smoke and she rarely wore short skirts! )

After a short spell living en femme in my late teens - I'd been thrown out by then!  - I went through the usual shame - guilt and denials, failed marriages and sucide attempts to lead me to today.

Still pre op of course - and frightened of needles - my life is getting better by each hormone powered day!  I am about nine months into  hormones and roll back the duvet each dawn with a sence of real wonder at the power of nature!  I have a number of close tg and gg friends who are supportive and help when things get tough.

So thats me - I'd love to share experiences etc with folk from all over cyber space as we each tread our individual paths!

Hi Gina, and welcome, from somebody who lives in the south of England (although I grew up in America). Good luck with your transition....
