I just signed up here when i found the website. please excuse poor english as it is not my first or secondary language.

i would like to know from others experience how to deal with a situation. i told my mom that i am a transgender and she was of no support the first day but then she opened up and we began talking names and she was helping me find surgeons for my face and so on.

the thing is that i am about ready to begin being fulltime woman now. however she have asked me to let her know ahead so she could talk to some relatives one on one.

also last night she asked me not to go through with this.

she asked me not to and i haven't moved out YET but soon i have. job on the way and i am not staying here.

can anyone with experience or knowledge let me know if i should just stop with everything i worked with or hould i do it anyway?

this is very hard on me and i hate pretending to be a ''guy'' when i am really not never even have been inside.

any reply would be a huge help

Hi Kayla. Welcome to Susan's.

Your mother is likely having some doubts and fears of her own. She may need help to deal with those and deal with the rest of the family. It sounds like she is trying to protect you, even though she hasn't been where you are or feeling what you feel. You are an adult and must make the choices which are best for you. That can seem a little selfish sometimes. In the long run, it is the better choice.

Stay strong in your resolve, there will always be naysayers and doubters, and there will always be only one you.

Here are some links to site rules and answers to often asked questions.
